Boxing Day, every year on December 26th. Have you ever wondered what is it really about?
Or for those of you that's just hearing about it now, you're also probably wondering the same thing. No, it's not a day for boxing.
It's a celebration that commonwealth countries particularly Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, observe. Don't worry, we didn't forget about the Great Britain, because it did originate from there!
So, boxing day, most of you probably know it to be the day after Christmas. But what is it really about? Well, the first ever Boxing Day was recorded in 1833, back then it was a day for servants, tradespeople and the less fortunate would receive gifts from their employers just because on the actual day of Christmas they would have to work for their employers. That's wholesome, isn't it?

But in this day and age, Boxing Day is now a day where it's a time to spend with family and cash in on post-Christmas deals.
Thankfully, some families still do give alms to the poor and less fortunate. To spread the joy and giving of Christmas.
