🏛️Museum Nights🌃

Looking for something to do in Toronto?

Would you like to have a little quiet time to yourself, at least once a week just looking at beautiful art?

Yes? Well, in that case, we have some amazing places with great alternatives for you, instead of paying hundreds of dollars to go every week.

There are a couple of museums around Toronto that offer free admission on at least one day of the week. We'll break it down for you, and we'll also tell you what each museum is known for. Let's find out together which one suits you the best! It's a lot to read, please bear with us!

This list is of the most popular museums in Toronto. First up we have the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), they have free general admission every Wednesday night from 6 pm - 9 pm. Second, we have the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), they're free every third Tuesday night, every month from 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Next, we have the Museum of Contemporary Art, it's free every Friday night from 5 pm - 9 pm. Lastly, we have the Ontario Science Center, unfortunately, they do not provide any free days, however, they have member privileges in store for you. But if you're looking for a 1 time only experience, the admission price is fairly affordable.

This beautiful image you see here can be found at ROM, it has a newly opened Willner Madge Gallery, Dawn of Life, as well as Great Whales: Up Close and Personal.

The AGO Collection of more than 120,000 works of art ranges from cutting-edge contemporary art to significant works by Indigenous and Canadian artists and European masterpieces.

MOCO offers visitors an unparalleled collection of art to reflect on modern society. At the Ontario Science Center, visitors of all ages can explore more than 500 interactive exhibits, take in live science demonstrations, check out a real-life rain forest and a science arcade, and discover the wonders of the galaxy in the Space Hall, home to Toronto's only public planetarium.

For those free admissions, please remember to check out their website and book your tickets early! There are limited tickets available since they are for free. And of course, enjoy the art, take it all in, and just live in the moment.
